Paper, textiles, fiber and STUFF,
that’s what my ART is made of.
My name is Donna Cook a/k/a
bonniebluedenim. I am inspired by vintage photos and images
and cast off quilts, linens and blue jeans.
After teaching middle school
children about American Government and History for 25 years, I have
found that making new and repurposed projects with paint, ink,
paper, rubber stamps, repurposed fabric, embroidery and the quilted
arts has renewed my heart and soul. I still enjoy a good
discussion about religion and politics and often incorporate ‘social
justice’ themes into my art.
I am married to Rick and we have 4
dogs/no kids and enjoy family, friends, travel and volunteer work in
our community. When I am not immersed in Art Journaling,
iPhone photography or another craft, you’ll find me at
www.brostl.org , a small, St. Louis Children’s Charity, where I
serve as President of the Board of Directors, or on a “mission from
God” at my local church www.oakhillpcusa.org . You can find my work
in assorted Stampington Publications.
