Gemstone Faerie Kitty
.jpg)
1. To create this hanging ornament first
drill a hole horizontally through the top portion of the domino. Do this by
first drilling from one side to the center and then finish the hole by
drilling from the other side. One of the holes could chip if you simply
drill all the way through from one side only.
2. Ink up the Winged Cat - Small
(CH-747-C) stamp with coal black Ancient Page dye ink by Clearsnap and
stamp the image onto a new shiny white domino and heat set with an embossing
heat gun.
3. Ink up the
Winged Cat - Large (CH-523-M) stamp with coal black dye ink and
stamp the wings onto a sheet of acetate or printer transparency. To set the
ink either leave it for approximately 12 hours or gently heat set with an
embossing heat gun. Too much heat will make the acetate buckle but you can
always experiment… maybe your kitty fairy will like crinkled wings!
4. Color the domino image and the acetate wings with fine and ultra fine
point Sharpie markers.
5. Add adhesive to the acetate wings with a Xyron. Peel off the backing and
adhere the wings to silver mirror foil. I recycled a sheet of metallic foil
that covered a box of cookies I had at Christmas. The foil is silver
on one side and gold on the other and I thought it would come in very handy
one day.
6. Cut out the wings with scissors and edge with a metallic silver DecoColor
paint pen.
7. Edge and color the sides of the domino with a broad point metallic silver
paint pen.
8. For more sparkle and to seal the sides of the domino apply a coat of
Delta CeramCoat Sparkle Glaze with a paintbrush. The glaze dries to a clear
iridescent sparkle.
9. To protect the design and to adhere the wings to the domino apply a coat
of Judikins Diamond Glaze for a glass-like finish. Do this by dripping a few
generous drops of the glaze onto the surface of the domino and quickly
spreading it around with your finger.
10. You need to work quickly for this next step before the glaze starts to
harden! Carefully place the wings onto the domino and give the wings a
little wiggle to make sure the glue has grabbed on nicely and then leave
alone to dry.
11. For more fantasy and sparkle embellish all the spots with Diamond
Sparkles glitter glue by PSX.
12. Once dry apply a coat of Diamond Glaze to the wings too.
13. Finish off the hanging ornament by threading a length of clear nylon
(fishing line) through the holes and secure with a knot. Dab some glue onto
the
knot and push the knot back inside the hole to hide and secure it in place.

Celestial Cat Nap

1. To create this hanging ornament ink up
the Winged Cat Sleeping (CH-524-L) stamp with coal
black Ancient Page dye ink by Clearsnap and stamp the cat portion onto a new
shiny white domino and heat set with an embossing heat gun.
2. Re-ink the stamp with coal black dye ink and stamp the wings onto a sheet
of acetate or printer transparency. To set the ink either leave it for
approximately 12 hours or gently heat set with an embossing heat gun. Too
much heat will make the acetate buckle but you can always experiment….maybe
your kitty fairy will like crinkled wings!
3. Add adhesive to the acetate wings with a Xyron. Peel off the backing and
adhere the wings to silver mirror foil. I recycled a sheet of metallic foil
that covered a box of cookies I had at Christmas. The foil is silver on one
side and gold on the other and I thought it would come in very handy one
day.
4. Cut out the wings with scissors and edge with a metallic silver DecoColor
paint pen.
5. Color the domino image and the acetate wings with fine and ultra fine
point Sharpie markers.
6. Color the teardrops and spots on the wings with RoseArt metallic
permanent markers. Outline portions of the wings with the metallic markers
too.

10. You need to work quickly for this next step before the glaze starts to

little wiggle to make sure the glue has grabbed on nicely and then leave
alone to dry.
11. For more fantasy and sparkle embellish all the spots with Diamond
Sparkles glitter glue by PSX.
12. Once dry punch a hole into the wings and add a color coordinating
eyelet.
13. Finish off the ornament by threading a length of clear nylon (fishing
line) through the eyelet and the napping kitty fairy is ready to hang!

Ginger Fairy Kitty
1. Ink up the
Winged Cat - Large (CH-523-M) stamp with coal black Ancient Page
dye ink by Clearsnap and stamp the image onto a new shiny Super-sized white
domino and heat set with an embossing heat gun.
2. Re-ink and stamp the whole image onto a sheet of acetate or printer
transparency. To set the ink either leave it for approximately 12 hours or
gently heat set with an embossing heat gun. To much heat will make the
acetate buckle but you can always experiment….maybe your kitty fairy will
like crinkled wings!
3. Color the domino and the acetate wings with fine and ultra fine point
Sharpie markers. Leave the wing areas on the domino white!
4. Color all the spots on the wings with a fine point DecoColor silver
metallic paint pen and add some silver dots to the background of the domino.
5. Cut out the wings with scissors and edge with the silver paint pen.
6. Edge and color the sides of the domino with a broad point metallic silver
DecoColor paint pen.
7. For more sparkle and to seal the sides of the domino apply a coat of
Delta CeramCoat Sparkle Glaze with a paintbrush. The glaze dries to a clear
iridescent sparkle.
8. To protect the design and to adhere the wings to the domino apply a coat
of Judikins Diamond Glaze for a glass-like finish. Do this by dripping a few
generous drops of the glaze onto the surface of the domino and quickly
spreading it around with your finger.
9. You need to work quickly for this next step before the glaze starts to
harden! Carefully place the wings onto the domino making sure the wings
overlap the stamped wings on the domino. Give the wings a little wiggle to
make sure the glue has grabbed on nicely and then leave alone to dry.
10. For more fantasy and sparkle embellish all the silver spots with Diamond
Sparkles glitter glue by PSX.
11. Finish off the hanging ornament by cutting a length of clear nylon
(fishing line) and forming a loop. Secure the loop with a knot and glue to
the back of the domino. To further ensure the nylon remains in place and to
hide the knot you can embellish the back of the domino with patterned paper,
suede paper, felt or fabric.
