My big interest for rubber stamps
awoke in 1995, but because my kids were small, and the time was not
enough, I put away my stamps for many years.
It took 9 years before I, at the year 2006, started to use my stamps
again. The scrap space grow quickly and now we a whole room for our
hobby. My best purchases is as simple as tweezer and cutter. How can
anyone scrap without?!
I do cards with different templates and foldings, and sometimes I
alter small stuff. I have done some few photo layouts, but that is
not my kind of music.
Typically my cards are chalk, distressed edges, glossy glaze,
crackle details and 3D foam squares. I love to use flowers, white
crackle paint, lace and lots of small details on my art. I love
everything that’s vintage and shabby-chic and even the dark gothic.
I'm most comfortable to make my art in muffled colors. Bright colors
doesn't amuse me at all. I cut out almost every motif and I only
paint with Tim Holtz distress inks.
I find my inspiration everywhere, and I always have new ideas about
how to do next project. I'm looking for fun inspiration for my art
everywhere. Scrap maniac? Yes, a little bit… ;)
Believe it or not, but I have other interests to, I love to do stuff
with my family and friends. My family are my wife, who share my blog
and my scrap interest, and two lovely teenagers at 19 and 16 years
old. In our family there also lives three cats, two leopard geckos
and a tarantula. I write poems, create websites, listen to music and
I love to be at concerts or festivals. Another big interest is
photography, and I love to just chill and watch a great movie, or
just sit down and talk over a cup of cappuccino or tea. |
