Cecilia lives in Red Bank, New Jersey, with her husband, a long-suffering saint who puts up with one entire room of the house being stuffed ceiling-to-floor with art paraphernalia. When a friend of Cecilia’s daughter entered the room, she blinked, looked around and gasped, “Wow! It’s Michael’s!” Handmade greeting cards and larger art-pieces by Cecilia are sold through two retail stores in her area. Her art will be included in two books: Alter It!, to be published September, 2007, by CardMaker magazine; and a book on greeting card-making to be published in 2008 by US ArtQuest. She is a part-time Contributing Designer at The Rubber Stamper magazine, where her stamped art is often published. Her work has also appeared in Cloth Paper Scissors, Expression, Scrap & Stamp Arts, Somerset Studio Gallery, Altered Arts, Spring Hill Review, Stampers’ Sampler and Digital Arts (an on-line magazine) and will soon appear in Creative TECHniques. A sample of her art can be viewed at www.USArtQuest.com. Cecilia develops rubber stamp designs in Photoshop, working from her own photos and drawings as well as scans of copyright-free images and documents; and just about anything else that will fit on a flatbed scanner. She has created designs that range from Asian to African-American to vintage American/European; from whimsical collages to texture/backgrounds; from holidays to word-collages.
